Caltrans to close lanes on Highway 99 in San Joaquin County

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has announced various lane closures on State Route 99 for maintenance and construction.

The Calaveras River/Frontage Road Overcrossing will be fully closed due to bridge work. There is no estimated time of reopening.

Caltrans encourages motorists to find alternative routes.

Meanwhile, alternating lanes of northbound R-99 from Morada Lane to Eight Mile Road will be closed on Monday through Tuesday, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for electrical work.
