Los Gatos will be an age-friendly community for older adults to live engaged and meaningful lives if Ginger McDonald, Teri Hope, Tim Lundell, Tom Picraux and many others have anything to do with it. They are part of Los Gatos Thrives Foundation for Older Adults (aka Los Gatos Thrives) and are kicking off a Monthly Monday Morning Movie Premiere at the Cinelux Los Gatos Theatre on Monday, May 6, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. A good movie, good coffee and good friends seems a wonderful way to start the week. The first movie in the series is “The Fall Guy,” and a $10 ticket gets you the movie, coffee, and a pastry. Buy your tickets online at www.losgatostheater.com or at the door.
The 100-year-old theater is now a state-of-the-art, two-level movie house that’s preserved its Art Deco architecture. Artifacts were found when the theater was gutted in 2012 including the big wheel that now hangs in the staircase and old tin containers still around from the building’s days as a cannery.
