A fire broke out in a San Jose home early Saturday, displacing seven residents and killing a cat, according to officials.
The fire was reported at 5:12 a.m. at a two-story, single-family home on the 600 block of Woodland Terrace, located near the Naglee Park neighborhood and Interstate 280.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames by 5:42 a.m., according to an X post from the San Jose Fire Department. No residents or firefighters were injured.
Multiple crews responded to the incident, with six fire engines sent to the scene.
The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents.
