Sunnyvale is recruiting new Teen Advisory Committee members for the 2025-27 term. The committee is made up of high school students who advise the Recreation Services Division on topics important to the teen population.  Members earn community service hours.

Sunnyvale residents entering grades 9-12 in fall 2025 are invited to apply. Applicants must be at least 13 years old by Saturday, April 5. Selection Interviews will be held in person on that day.

Summer job fair

The city of Sunnyvale’s Summer Recreation Job Fair is set for Tuesday, March 4, 5:30-8 p.m., at the Recreation Center, 550 E. Remington Drive. The job fair is for teens and young adults, ages 16 and up, looking for a flexible job. Applicants under age 18 must bring a parent or guardian.

Part-time and seasonal positions in the city’s summer camp and aquatics programs are available. No permanent full-time positions are available.

The application process takes about two hours. Those who apply before arriving at the fair will be interviewed right away and get through the process faster.

Applicants should bring a fully charged phone with internet access, a copy of their work history and a photo ID to the fair. Call 408-730-7350 or email recreation@sunnyvale.ca.gov with any questions.
