Welcome to the Bay Area News Group (Mercury News & East Bay Times) girls Athlete of the Week poll.
For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.
This week, we consider performances from Feb. 10-15.
Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Vote as many times as you’d like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting.
Votes by email and after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted.

Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print edition of the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections.
Candidates for future Athlete of the Week polls can be nominated at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com.
We accept nominations until 11 a.m. each Monday.
We also review stats submitted to MaxPreps by coaches/team statisticians.
On to the nominees:
Jazzy Alcantar, Encinal basketball: The senior forward scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Her Jets finished the season a perfect 10-0 in WACC-Foothill Division play.
Maggie Currie, Leigh soccer: The junior attacking midfielder showed why she is committed to reigning national champion North Carolina against Piedmont HIlls, scoring two goals and dribbling past multiple defenders on several occasions.
Almbria Gallon, Kennedy-Richmond basketball: The senior post scored an even 20 points in a TCAL Stone Division semifinal victory over Swett. Gallon ended the week averaging 12 points per game.
Reese Kelley, Terra Nova basketball: The sophomore filled up the box score in a 47-45 victory victory over Burlingame. She scored 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and four steals.
Emi Lo, Aragon soccer: The Don’s sophomore showed why she wears the No. 10, dishing out an assist and scoring a goal in Aragon’s 2-0 victory over Burlingame.
Ella Overhulse, Pioneer soccer: The offensive standout scored twice and even had time to dish out an assist in an easy 4-1 victory over BVAL Mt. Hamilton opponent Branham.
Kass Real, Sobrato soccer: The senior attacker scored twice in a 5-0 victory over Live Oak. The Bulldogs improved to 11-5-3.
Keira Tom, Dougherty Valley basketball: The junior guard scored a game-high 24 points and dished out four assists to lead Dougherty Valley past Monte Vista in the second round of the EBAL playoffs.
