Permitting special events
Sunnyvale has introduced a new and improved application process for those who want to hold special events in the city.
Here’s what’s new: a guide with instructions for creating an application to assist event organizers with the process; a streamlined application for a faster experience; and an application that includes Baylands Park events.
Visit https://www.sunnyvale.ca.gov/recreation-and-community/special-events/special-event-permits to download an application. All applications must be submitted at least eight weeks before the event date. Call 408-730-7350 or email events@sunnyvale.ca.gov with any questions.
Celebrating women makers
Sunnyvale’s TETRA Hotel is celebrating women makers on Friday, March 7, at its first Oasis Makers Fair of the year.
In honor of Women’s History Month, the event will exclusively feature women makers and small business owners from around the Bay Area, as well as a pop-ups by Haven Wellness Spa, where founder Monica Ulbunen will offer reiki chair massage, and Melange Rejuvenations, with founder Regina Fausone offering treatments to alleviate tight muscles.
The Oasis Makers Fair run 5-8 p.m. at TETRA Hotel, 400 W. Java Drive. The event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are highly encouraged to Eventbrite.com.
TETRA Hotel is set to host three other Oasis Makers Fairs this year. Saturday, June 21, marks the return of the Pride Edition celebration, followed by an August Wellness Fair and the annual Holiday Makers Fair in December.
