Cupertino looks to fill vacancy on Audit Committee

The City of Cupertino is seeking qualified applicants for one vacancy on the Audit Committee with a term expiring on January 30, 2029.

The position is open to individuals with relevant experience. Cupertino residency is not required, but priority will be given to local applicants. City officials and employees are ineligible, and applicants must not be related to a committee member.

AI writing workshop

The Cupertino Library, in conjunction with Silicon Valley Reads, is hosting a March 1 workshop on “Writing Family History with AI.” Set for 11 a.m., the workshop will explore the fusion of storytelling and artificial intelligence.

Led by Ron Chan, an experienced genealogy lecturer and published author, participants will learn storytelling fundamentals, from traditional tales to AI-generated narratives, to craft personalized family stories. Chan will also delve into movie-making techniques.

The theme for the 2025 Silicon Valley Reads is “Empowering Humanity: Technology for a Better World.” Throughout February and March, Silicon Valley Reads will offer over 150 free events in partnership with schools, libraries, and community organizations across Santa Clara County.

Registration is required for this event to https://www.siliconvalleyreads.org/event-details/writing-family-history-with-ai. Participants should bring a fully charged laptop with a word processor. Laptops may be available for checkout with a Santa Clara County Library District library card.
