SAN LEANDRO — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a train Sunday afternoon, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

At 1:55 p.m., firefighters responded to the collision between the motorcycle and train, authorities said in a social media post. The collision occurred near the intersection Springlake Drive & Hesperian Boulevard in San Leandro.
The motorcyclist died due to the collision and one person was injured, authorities said.
